The Den at Backwell Down

Originally servants quarters to Backwell Down Manor, now lovingly restored and converted, The Den is a gloriously intimate and totally unique hideaway offering stylish bed and breakfast accommodation.

Nestled in the village of Backwell, within 36 acres of stunning parkland and gardens, it's a perfect spot for a few days away. Whether you prefer Brunel or Banksy, the vibrant city of Bristol, just six miles down the road, has plenty to offer, including arts, history and a vibrant food scene.

Guests can enjoy an abundance of great walks starting from the front door, and the beautiful Mendip Hills are just a short drive away. Alternatively, for the less energetic visitor, just relax and chill out by the pool, stroll through the gardens and woodlands and enjoy a pint and a bite to eat at our friendly local pub, found at the end of the drive!

For families looking to get away and enjoy the pool in the summer months, an adjoining bedroom is available for 2 children.
